Madikeri: High alert has been sounded in Kodagu District as Tipu Jayanti Virodhi Horata Samithi, Kodava Makkada Koota, BJP, Bajarang Dal, VHP and Hindu Jagaran Vedike members are opposing Tipu Jayanti celebrations by Karnataka Government on Nov. 10 and have called for a bandh to oppose the celebrations.
Police personnel from different parts of the State have already been deployed at sensitive places in Kodagu and a Rapid Action Force (RAF) team took out a flag march yesterday at many places including Virajpet.
