Mysuru: Edukare ITES, an IT Training and Placement Services Institute, had organised a Skill Development Programme at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road in city on Tuesday. The event was held as part of the ambitious Kaushalya Karnataka programme launched by the previous Government, which was meant to provide skills to the unemployed in the 18-35 years age group.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Joint Director of the Department of Skill Development N.S. Shivanna emphasised the need to update their skill sets. He also urged them to adapt to new circumstances in life and be prepared to leave their hometown and work in faraway places like Bengaluru, as it is not possible for all to get jobs in Mysuru city. About 30 youngsters participated in the programme.
