Mysuru: Following the controversial statement made by Tamil actor Sathyaraj nine years ago over Cauvery water issue and the video of the actor making the statement surfacing a couple of days ago, pro-Kannada organisations took to streets in protest and has sought a ban on screening Tamil movies in the State.
Meanwhile, some pro-Kannada organisations in city yesterday staged a protest in front of Padma Theatre in Agrahara, where a Tamil movie was being screened and demanded to stop the movie besides threatening of burning down the theatre if it was not stopped.
