Deota Snehil of Bengaluru with 5.5 points from six rounds and M. Tulsi of Mysuru with 5 points from 6 rounds, won the U-17 Open (Boys) and U-17 Girls titles respectively on the concluding day of the Karnataka State U-17 Open (Boys) and Girls Chess Championships-2017 conducted by the MDCA under the aegis of UKCA at the University Gymnasium Hall here yesterday. Ithal H.L. Rajath of Bengaluru with 5 points from six rounds (progressive score of 23) secured the second place in the boys section and was followed by young Arnav Muralidhar of Mysuru, with 5 points from six rounds (progressive score of 19.5) who took the third place.
