Jagadish of Bengaluru and Shree Krishna Pranama of Dakshina Kannada with 5.5 points from six rounds share the lead in the Karnataka State U-17 Open Chess Championship 2018, conducted by the Mysore Chess Centre at Raghavendraswamy Mutt premises in Krishnamurthypuram here yesterday. Five players — N. Rakesh (Mandya), Shreyash A. Kulkarni (Bengaluru), Chirag Mudraje (DK), M. Shivanth (Mysuru) and S. Abhi Nayak (Mysuru) — are tied with five points each from six rounds and are placed from third to seventh in the rankings. Mysuru lads — Arnav Muralidhar (4.5 points-12th), C. Ajay (4 points-17th), R. Raju Prasad (Nanjangud-4 points-18th), S. Vishwajit (Mysuru-4 points-19th), R. Ashutosh Srivatsa (Mysuru-4 points-21st), S. Sandeep (4 points-22nd) and P. Manish Kumar (4 points-23rd) are also faring well in the Championships which will conclude today.
