Prerith of Mithra Academy and Bhuvan of Betheny School, Bengaluru won their respective semi-final matches in the junior boys singles event and set up a title clash in the Karnataka ICSE schools tennis tournament 2017 which began at the De Paul International Residential School, Mysuru's Tennis Courts. Prerith scored a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win over Pruthvi of Santhone Public school in the junior boys singles semi-final, while in the second semi-final Bhuvan of Betheny School scored a 6-2, 6-1 win over Hemrish of Christ Academy. Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by Dr. C. Venkatesh, Chairman and Associate Professor, DoS in Physical Education, University of Mysore. Fr. Aneesh Mathew, Principal of DPIRS presided over the inaugural function. More than 20 schools across the State are taking part in the tournament.
