JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, will be hosting ‘Kalavaibhava-2017,’ a ten-day Handicrafts and Handlooms exhibition-cum-sale from Sept.1 to 10 at JSS Mysore Urban Haat in Hebbal Industrial Area, on the occasion of Dasara Festival and marriage functions. The expo, organised under the sponsorship of Department of Industries and Commerce and District Industries Centre, will be inaugurated by MLA Vasu tomorrow at 4 pm. The expo will be open for visitors from 10 am to 9 pm daily.
Over the past couple of years, JSS Urban Haat has become quite popular not only amongst the handicraft manufacturers spread across India but also among the local buyers seeking quality handicraft. A wide range of exclusive handicraft items will be displayed under one roof at the craft bazaar which provides a platform for a direct market linkage between the artisans and the art-loving general public. The participating craftsperson can feel the real need and taste of the consumer and can orient the designs as per the market requirement.
