Mysuru - Kadhali Mahila Vedike, Mysuru in association with Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat had organised a function at Rajendra Bhavan in JSS Hospital premises here on Friday, to mark the 17th anniversary of the Vedike and also presentation of ‘Kadhalisri’ award to Advocate and Social Activist M.N. Sumana.
Speaking on the occasion Sumana opined that women should carry on the movement seeking equal status for women in all sectors which in fact had been initiated way back in the 12th century by Akkamahadevi. She pointed out the service rendered by women in family was invaluable.
