Mysuru: JSS Radio 91.2 FM, Community Radio Station of JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Mysuru, will broadcast a special episode of its health awareness programme ‘Arogya Manthana,’ a Live Phone-in Programme with Doctors tomorrow (Oct. 1) from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm.
It will focus on ‘Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) – Catheter-Based Aortic Valve Replacement,’ an important treatment option for patients with aortic valve disease.
Eminent Cardiology specialists from Jayadeva Hospital, Mysuru — Dr. Harsha Basappa, Professor, Department of Cardiology and Dr. Srinidhi S. Hegde, Associate Professor, Department of Cardiology — will discuss aortic valve disease and its symptoms, who may require TAVI, how the TAVI procedure is performed, its benefits and possible risks, care and recovery after the procedure.
