Mysuru: The Department of Health and Family Services, Government of Karnataka, has recognised JSS Dental College & Hospital, Mysuru, for its contribution in implementing “Dantha Bhagya Yojane” and awarded it for Best Performance in the region. The award was presented in Bengaluru on Mar.20 on the occasion of World Oral Health Day by Dr. Asha, Director, National Health Policy, Government of Karnataka, Dantha Bhagya Yojane was started in the Financial year 2015-16, to provide complete and partial denture to BPL families, to individuals aged above 45 years. JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, JSS Dental College & Hospital, Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge together with Government of Karnataka, have delivered 675 dentures for citizens of Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts.
