The Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Mysuru, a Skill and Technical Training Centre, is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India. CIPET has commenced the online and offline registration process for admission to the following job-oriented diploma courses for the academic year 2026-27: Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT) - 3 years and Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT) - 3 years.

In addition, CIPET Mysuru is also conducting various free Skill Development Training Programmes. Free 3 to 6 months skill training programmes are being conducted under the Karnataka Skill Development Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0). Free food and accommodation facilities will be provided for trainees under these programmes.
