Mysore/Mysuru: On the second day of the webinar series yesterday evening, titular head of the Mysore Royal Family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar spoke about Dasara celebrations by the royal family, elephants which had participated in Dasara and also about the favourite elephants of the erstwhile Kings.
He said that Biligiriranga, who had carried the Golden Howdah then, was the favourite elephant of Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar and added that it was for the last time that a king went in a procession, sitting inside the Golden Howdah. He also said that elephant Chamundi Prasad had carried three kings seated inside the Golden Howdah.
