Mysore/Mysuru: City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta confirmed that bomb threat received by the Office of Joint Commissioner of Commercial Tax proved to be hoax.

While speaking to media, the City Top Cop said, "A letter which stated placing of bomb in the Commercial Tax Office is a prank done by miscreants. It was written in just one line in English. Immediately the staff at the Tax Office was alerted and all of them were sent outside. Later it was proved to be a hoax bomb scare. Security is increased in the city, as Dasara is nearing. All the details of tourists visiting city during Dasara will be monitored through hotels and lodges."
