Mysuru: The Election Commission has appointed two IPS officers from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to keep tab on the security arrangements for the ensuing Assembly polls in the district for which the polling will take place on May 12. While Yogesh Deshmukh, a 1995-batch IPS Officer from Madhya Pradesh has been given the task to ensure free and fair polls in Chamundeshwari, Krishnaraja, Narasimharaja, Varuna and T. Narsipur Constituencies, Chandra Prakash, a 2004-batch IPS Officer from Uttar Pradesh will ensure free and fair polling in Periyapatna, K.R. Nagar, Hunsur, H.D. Kote, Nanjangud and Chamaraja Assembly segments.
Sources said that the two officers would arrive in city on Apr. 24 to take charge.
