Kolkata: The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to begin with a bang this evening with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a high-voltage clash at Eden Gardens.
KKR, a three-time IPL champion, will be led by Ajinkya Rahane this season as they look to secure back-to-back titles. The side boasts a formidable batting lineup, with the experienced Sunil Narine expected to continue his stellar form alongside Quinton de Kock at the top. Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer will provide stability in the middle order, while finishers Rinku Singh, Andre Russell and Ramandeep Singh will be key in the death overs.
