A Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu International Seminar for MMA fighters was organised in city by Academy of Martial Science (AMS) at its premises. Gracie Barra Professor and Black belt, Mark Mullen from Canada, who has over 25 years of experience in Jiu Jitsu and Judo, conducted the seminar. He was assisted by AMS Head coach Kru. Vikram and National Jiu jitsu Champion Bala Shetty. Over 30 athletes participated in the seminar who were graded to various levels in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Former Mayor Purushotham and MDMT Trustee Dr. Srinivasdeep Urs, official MMA ring side physician, were present during the closing ceremony.
