Mysuru: A four-day international workshop on 'Safe and sustainable technologies and strategies for integrated fresh water resource management,' organised jointly by the Department of Water and Health, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER) and University of Plymouth, United Kingdom (UK), commenced this morning at JSS Medical College premises in Shivarathreeshwaranagar here.
Delivering the keynote address with power point presentation on the topic, Dr. P.P. Mujumdar, Chairman, ICWar, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, said that climatic changes have drastic effect on fresh water resources needing sustainable strategies to manage the situation. He opined that water-food-energy nexus for water conservation is highly complex region-wise which should be tackled methodically.
