Mysuru: All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, is celebrating “The International Day of Persons with Disabilities” on Dec.8 at 5 pm with the theme “Transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all.” Personalities from various spheres who have been working towards the betterment of the quality of life for persons with disabilities will be participating. General public may also take part. On the occasion, parents, caregivers, clients and other activists who have significantly contributed either at an individual level or at an organisational level to bring an altruistic change in the lives of persons with disabilities, will be felicitated. The institute will felicitate AIISH “Best mother of the Year” with persons with disabilities. N. Geetha, In-charge District Disabled Welfare Officer, Mysuru, will be the chief guest. Dr. S. R. Savithri, Director, AIISH, will preside.
