Inter-School Throwball Tournament: Harohalli Govt. School, Geet Bharathi School excel

Harohalli Government School and Geeta Bharathi School of Siddharthanagar won the U-14 District Level Throwball Tournament for U-14 Boys and Girls respectively organized by Citizen Convent, Udayagiri in association with Mysore District Throwball Association, here recently. A total of 38 teams from Mysuru — 20 teams in boys category and 18 teams in girls category — took part in the tournament. In the finals of the boys category, Harohalli Government School beat Geeta Bharathi School in two straight sets 25,21 and 25,23 to emerge victorious and in the girls category, Geeta Bharathi School beat Citizen Convent three sets decider 25, 23; 19,25 and 25,21 to win the coveted trophy. Simran Kousar was declared at the best player of the tournament. The prizes to the winners was distributed by ZP President Nayeema Sulthana. Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Block Education Officer D. Uday Kumar, Former Mayor Ayub Khan, City Convent Founder Secretary and Head Mistress Maha Jabeen and others were present.
