Indefinite lorry strike begins: City truckers join Nationwide stir

Mysuru: - Following the call given by the All India Motor Transport Congress, demanding roll back of hiked Third Party Insurance premium and an end to toll collection on highways, among others, the Mysuru unit of Federation of Karnataka State Lorry Owners and Agents Association and other lorry associations have joined the indefinite nationwide stir from 6 am today in city.

Their other demands include abolish excess commission paid to agents through comprehensive policy. The truckers are also demanding that the Union Government implement a ‘toll barrier-free-India’ to make transportation hassle-free on highways.
