The Department of Social Welfare has invited applications from meritorious Scheduled Caste (SC) students to distribute incentives for those who have secured first class and above marks in the following exams in their first attempt (2019-20): An incentive of Rs.20,000 will be given for those who have secured first class and above marks in second PUC or 3-year Polytechnic Diploma, Rs.25,000 for Graduate students, Rs.30,000 for Post-Graduate students (MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, MCA and MFA) and Rs.35,000 for Agriculture, Engineering, Veterinary Sciences and Medical students. Interested candidates may apply online through the Department website (www.sw.kar.nic.in) before Nov. 30. The application form must later be downloaded and along with all necessary documents should be submitted, within four days of applying online, to the Office of Joint Director of Social Welfare Department, Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan, Mysuru or Social Welfare Department Office in their respective taluks, according to a press release.
