Mysuru: Over 24 million babies are born every year in India. These babies face the highest risk of dying in their first month of life. Presently in India, for every 1,000 babies born, over 25 babies die.
“Saath-Saath-Perinatal Meets” is a one-day workshop planned by Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) and the Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist Societies of India, to train the Obstetricians and Paediatricians in saving newborns with problems at birth and providing quality care for babies born with complicated pregnancies. This programme is conducted by IAP in all parts of country to reduce the new-born death rate.
