Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed when a Tempo Traveller hit his motorbike on Yelwal Road yesterday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Basavalinga (42), a driver at Excel Public School in Hootagalli here. He leaves behind his wife and two sons.
Basavalinga, after his work, was proceeding towards home on his mobike on Yelwal Road when a speeding Tempo Traveller vehicle rammed into his two-wheeler and sped away resulting in him sustaining serious injuries. The accident was caught on a CCTV camera installed at a petrol bunk. Though he was rushed to a private hospital, he succumbed to injuries. The body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.
Yelwal Police, who have registered a case, have launched a search for the Tempo Traveller.
