Mysuru: Keeping in mind the safety of motorists (two- wheeler riders) and also to prevent fatalities through head injuries, the Mysuru City Police (both Civil and Traffic) began their drive against motorists wearing non-Indian Standards Institute (ISI) mark helmets in city this morning.
Stationed at vantage points in city, the Police personnel were seen stopping two-wheeler riders and checking their helmets (both rider and pillion). The Police seized helmets worn by two-wheeler riders which did not have ISI marks as they do not comply with the safety standards. The Police personnel after seizing the helmets were seen pasting the vehicle number and the phone number of the rider on the helmets besides advising them to buy ISI mark helmets for the safety of their precious lives.
