Mysuru: The Karnataka Road Development Corporation Ltd. (KRDCL) has approved toll collection on Hassan-Ramanathapura-Periyapatna Road (State Highway-21). Following this, toll booths have been set up at Kattaya, Byadarahalli, Arakalgud, Doddamagge, Niluvagilu and Koorgal on this State Highway for collecting toll from Dec.27.
Toll collection contract has been awarded to one Vijaya Ramegowda. However, two and three-wheeler vehicles, tractors, animal driven carts, agriculture produce transport vehicles are exempted from toll. Monthly pass will be issued to a certain category of vehicles, according to a KRDCL release.
