Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy said that regularisation of Guest Lecturers serving at Govt. First Grade Colleges across the State was not possible. Replying to a question by BJP MLA C.T. Ravi during the Question Hour in the State Assembly yesterday, Rayareddy said that there were 13,489 Guest Lecturers serving in the State. Lecturers having Post-Graduation qualification will be paid Rs. 9,500 while Ph.D holders, NET or SLET qualified Lecturers will be paid Rs. 11,500 in the current academic year, he said and reiterated that their services cannot be regularised.
