Mysuru: Prominent among those who filed their nomination papers yesterday included CM Siddharamaiah and G.T. Devegowda (GTD) from Chamundeshwari assembly constituency, JD(S) State President H.D. Kumaraswamy from Ramanagaram and Channapattana, JD(S) leader H.D. Revanna from Holenarasipura, Minister Ramalinga Reddy from BTM Layout, BJP Leader Suresh Kumar from Rajajinagar in Bengaluru.
Many candidates waited for Friday and filed their papers at the auspicious hour. G.T. Devegowda, who entered the Returning Officer’s chamber at Mini Vidhana Soudha to file his nomination papers, sat in the returning officer’s chamber waiting for the clock to strike an ‘auspicious hour’ of 2.10 pm to complete the formalities.
