Mysuru: Elections for 14 vacant positions of Members in 14 Gram Panchayats in the district and one Member of Zilla Panchayat will be held on June 14. Modal Code of Conduct will be applicable at respective Gram Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat Zones from May 30 to June 17 covering Rammanahalli, Siddalingapura in Mysuru taluk Devirammanahalli, Kurihundi in Nanjangud taluk, B. Shettihalli, Mugur, Vatal, BC halli in T. Narasipur taluk, Govindahalli, Chilkunda, Gurupura in Hunsur taluk, Arjunahalli in K.R. Nagar taluk, Kampalapura in Periyapatna taluk and Hirehalli in HD Kote taluk along with Hanagodu ZP in Hunsur taluk.
Accordingly DC Abhiram G. Sankar in a notification has banned transportation and sale of liquor from May 30 till June 17 in the aforementioned jurisdictions.
