Health Minister Ramesh Kumar has said that the Government will appoint 1,065 specialist doctors and 365 general doctors through a special recruitment drive. Replying to a question by a member during question hour in the Legislative Council yesterday, he said the appointments will be made by KPSC. Stating that appointment of specialist doctors in Primary Health Centres posed a challenge to the Government, he said that Hyderabad - Karnataka region was facing severe shortage of specialist doctors.
