Mysuru: The diamond-studded Golden Throne (Suvarna Simhasana) was assembled at the Durbar Hall of Mysore Palace amidst tight security here this morning with just a week left for the 408th edition of Dasara festivities.
The process of assembling the iconic throne by a 15-member select team of artisans from Gejjagalli in Mysuru taluk which began at 9.45 am in the auspicious Tula Lagna concluded at about 11.30 am after which priests performed mangalarathi to the Simhasana. Prior to the assembling of Golden Throne, the Palace priests performed Navagraha Homa and other pujas after which the workers started assembling the throne.
