GFA conducts sports fest

Charitable Trust in association with Mysore Elite Round Table (MERT) 256 conducted 8th GFA Sports Fest comprising charity cricket tournament form men and throwball tournament for women in the memory of late M. Gautham. The sports fest was inaugurated by B.T. Lakshmisha, renowned ball badminton player from Mysuru. Dr. C.N. Ravi Kumar, Former Dean, SJCE, Prof. S. Gayathri, Professor, SJCE, P.K. Suresh, Chairman, Mysore Elite Round Table 256,  S. Vijendra, Hon. Member, GFA and Sanjana Thimaiah, Chairperson, Mysore Elite Ladies Circle were the chief guests. Dr. S. Ravi Kumar, President, GFA presided over. Three cricket teams namely Mysore Warriors (a representation of Namma Yadavagiri Cricket Club) , JC Riders and Round Tablers, and two throw ball teams namely Saddle Tramps and Bumble Bees took part in the competition. At the end, it was Round Tablers and Bumble Bees who won the cricket (men) and throwball (women) tournaments respectively. The proceeds collected from the sports fest was presented to national level gymnast M. Anantha Rao for his spinal treatment.
