Mysuru: Nawaz Shariff and Mohammed Muqueeb of St. Anthony’s High School, Mysuru, have developed a model of a ‘Rocket’ in the National Science Congress being held at KSOU’s Vignana Bhavana. They have made use of PVC pipes to design the rocket or the launching vehicle, cam chain and cam shaft, a 12 Volt battery, a switch and a starter. The boys explained that in the real rockets a propellant is used to fire the rockets, but here we are using electricity. Nawaz Shariff said, “We were motivated and inspired by the works of ISRO and that is the reason we decided to make a model of a rocket; we would like to see India reach its heights in the space technology and would love to contribute towards it.”
