Mysore/Mysuru: Sigma Hospital, Thonachikoppal Road, Saraswathipuram, Mysuru, is conducting a free kidney health screening camp at the hospital premises this Sunday (Mar.28) from 9 am to 1 pm.
Kidney diseases are on the rise and already up to 10 percent of the world population and around estimated 6+0 percent of population in Karnataka is affected with chronic kidney disease. This is due to increasing prevalence of conditions like diabetes and hypertension, along with altered food habits and unsupervised over the counter medications. Unlike other diseases, signs of kidney problems are subtle and in early stages may only be detected by blood, urine tests and scans.
