Mysore/Mysuru: A free health camp was organised at Mandakalli Government School premises in Mysuru taluk recently. Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital, Dr. Vishnumurthy Rekha Trust and Karuna Trust, under Thar scheme, had organised the health camp which was attended by hundreds of villagers.
Speaking on the occasion, Gopala Gowda Hospital NeuroZone Head Dr. H.V. Shushrutha said that health camps are being organised in the rural areas with service-mindedness. “There is a target of conducting health checks for over 10,000 people by the end of December. Health camps have been already conducted at various places including Virajpet, Somwarpet, Hunsur, Kadakola and Sindhuvalli; In just a span of two months, 1,500 people have undergone health check-ups. For the next one year, their health enquiry will be done through phone calls,” he added.
