The Food and Civil Supplies Department has started a helpline for the benefit of BPL card holders to register complaints against Fair Prices Shops (FPS) in case of unfair practices such as cheating in weight, demanding excess payment, poor quality food, etc. The card holders can register their complaints by dialling *161# through their Aadhaar linked cell-phone number.
