Former Mysore University kho-kho player R. Sanjay (40), who was part of the Varsity team that won bronze medal in the All-India Inter-University Championships, passed away at Bengaluru yesterday following cardiac arrest. Son of late Ramprasad, Sanjay leaves behind his mother Vijayalakshmi, wife Bhavani, a sister, a brother and a host of relatives and friends. An alumnus of Manasagangothri, Maharaja's College and St.Joseph's School in city, Sanjay had represented Karnataka in Junior and Senior Nationals. A Member of National Sports Club, Mysuru, he was former Academic Council Member of University of Mysore. He was also the proprietor of Vijayalakshmi Prakashana. Basically from Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, he was residing at Vijaya Bank Layout in Bannerghatta, Bengaluru. Cremation took place in Bengaluru today. The kho-kho players of the National Sports Club and the University of Mysore have condoled the untimely demise of Sanjay.
