Mysuru, Sept.1- N. Lakshman (68), former Deputy Mayor and a resident of Durgamma Gudi Cross, Dhanvantri Road in Devaraja Mohalla, passed away early this morning at a private hospital in city. He leaves behind two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends. His wife had pre-deceased him 10 years ago. Lakshman had served as a Deputy Mayor of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) from May 28, 1993 to May 27, 1994 when D. Dhruvakumar was the Mayor. He was serving as the Director of Mysore Co-operative Bank since 35 years and was the President of the Bank for five years besides serving as the Bank’s Vice-President for five times. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon.
