Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra inaugurated a three-day programme aimed at flag hoisting with the slogan “Namma Nade Mathagatteya Kade” (our path leads to polling booth) across polling stations in the Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency. The initiative aims to encourage a higher voter turnout on polling day which falls on Apr. 26.
Addressing the gathering at Jnanaganga School in Kuvempunagar this morning, Dr. Rajendra, also the District Electoral Officer (DEO), stated, “Flags will be raised at all 2,925 polling stations within the Mysuru-Kodagu LS Constituency. Polling officers will visit each booth under their jurisdiction to raise awareness. Participation in the election is crucial for a democratic system, often hailed as the greatest festival of democracy.”
