Mysuru: Renowned Kannada Film Director S.V. Rajendra Singh Babu said, the proposed Film City project at Immavu in Nanjangud taluk in the district, is a long pending dream that is set to become a reality. Priority will be given towards incorporating modern features suiting the demands of technology, to make the facility relevant.
Addressing media persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city on Friday, Babu said, the Government has acceded to the demand of film fraternity to develop a Film City. It was a five-year struggle that is set to bear fruits, with CM Siddaramaiah directing Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) to hand over the land earmarked for the project to the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).
