Mysuru, Mar.7- First-aid training can literally save people’s lives and there are many other benefits. A small time invested into learning first aid can produce a lifetime advantage. Teachers being the immediate care providers at school, if they are trained in first aid they can give timely aid for the school children. In an effort to address this concern, Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, Mysuru, had organised a one-day first aid workshop for teachers of JSS Schools under JSS Mahavidyapeetha recently. In all, 28 teachers participated in this event.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. G.V. Manjunath, Vice-Principal, JSS Medical College, Dr. M.R. Narayana Murthy, Head of the Department and Dr. N.C. Ashok, Professor, Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, by watering a plant. Dr. M.C. Smitha welcomed the gathering.
