Mysuru: The Department of Horticulture under the National Horticulture Mission for the year 2017-18 is offering financial assistance for SC/ST and general category farmers to purchase water tankers. The eligible beneficiaries should have grown crops on a minimum land of one acre for SC/ST and one hectare for general category with proper revenue records and possess a 30 HP and above tractor with relevant documents. They should not have any other water tanker. An assistance of Rs. 90,000 will be provided for SC/ST and Rs. 50,000 for general category. The necessary application can be obtained from Assistant Horticulture Officer of the hobli.
