Mysore/Mysuru: Following COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on the movement of vehicles, the number of accidents had come down, but still, 15 persons were killed and 100 injured in 90 road accidents that took place during the lockdown period from Mar. 1 to May 31 in all Traffic Police limits in city.

In 2019, between Mar. 1 and May 31, 37 people were killed and nearly 200 persons were injured in 171 road accident cases. Due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, the number of road accidents in city had come down with fewer fatalities.
