St. Teresa of Avila was born in Spain in the year 1515, a great Carmelite Saint and the first woman doctor of the Church. Pope John XXIII referred to her as the most illustrious religious woman and peerless luminary for the entire Universe. St. Teresa was a great mystic, experienced teacher and guide.
