Mysore/Mysuru: Urging for supply of adequate power and for reintroduction of ‘Akrama Sakrama’ scheme, farmers, under the banner of Rajya Raitha Sanghatanegala Okkuta and Karnataka State Sugarcane Growers Association, will lay siege to Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Limited’s Managing Director (MD) Office at Hinkal and will hold a massive protest tomorrow (Mar. 26) at 11.30 am, said Association State President Hallikere Bhagyaraj.
Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan recently, he said that the Government had ordered 10 hours of adequate power supply to agricultural pump sets which was not being done and came down heavily on the Government which is asking farmers to install solar pump sets. He also urged to reintroduce ‘Akrama Sakrama’ scheme.
