Hunsur: A debt ridden farmer committed suicide by hanging self at Mulooru village in the taluk. The deceased farmer has been identified as Raju (44) of Mulooru village.
Raju had taken a loan of Rs. 2.8 lakh at a private bank, Rs. 1.5 lakh at Dharmasthala Sangha, Rs. 5 lakh hand loan, all totalling Rs. 9.30 lakh to grow crops. As the crops failed, Raju was unable to repay the loan amount and depressed over this he ended his life by hanging self at his house.
