Mandya: A miscreant, who waylaid a car on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway, has extorted Rs. 23,000 from a Bengaluru resident after creating a fake accident story and threatening the car driver with a knife. The incident took place near the Factory Circle in Mandya.
One T.S. Chandrashekar, a resident of Bengaluru, was proceeding towards Bengaluru from Mysuru in his Hyundai i10 car (KL-22-H-9020) and when he neared the Factory Circle in Mandya, a miscreant on a Suzuki Access scooter (KA-11-EQ-2858) overtook the car and stopped him.
