In the backdrop of new cases of COVID-19 being reported, the CBSE, ICSE State Board Private School Association (System) in Mysuru district has decided to pass the students of class 1 to 4 students if they report ill. Exemptions from exams will be given to those students and they will be automatically promoted to the next class. At a meeting of the Association at a private hotel in city yesterday, it was decided to finish the examination process by Mar. 20 and declare a holiday for children in the wake of coronavirus scare. The meeting decided to declare holiday for LKG and UKG classes and also declare holiday for all Schools from Class 1 to 9 after completing the examination process by Mar. 22. No programmes will be conducted during summer holidays and no school will conduct summer camps for children due to the virus threat, the meeting decided. Mysuru district System President Sudhakar S. Shetty, Vice-Presidents Ravindraswamy and Venkatesh, Secretary Radhakrishna, Treasurer Swaroopini and Managements of different Schools were present at the meeting.
