Mysuru: Amid the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct in the district following the announcement of Lok Sabha polls, the Excise Department has strengthened its actions against unauthorized sale of liquor besides to curb the movement of liquor across the district.
The Department has drawn up an elaborate plan in accordance with the EC’s guidelines to curb use of liquor power in the elections. As Illegally Distilled (ID) liquor is posing a major challenge for prohibition, the Excise officials will keep a close watch.
