30th annual Mahashivarathri Jathra Mahotsava, devotees can themselves perform Abhisheka for the ancient Shivalinga at Ashokavana, rudrabhisheka, alankara and mass feeding (Anna Santarpane) will be held throughout the day in the temple; various cultural programmes, 10 am onwards; Releasing the mythological drama book ‘Bhagiratha’ (authored by Kupya Venkatramu) by Sri Sagar and H.S. Govindegowda; Felicitation to rural artistes Chamasetty, Varadaraju (blind) and R. Manjunath; Staging of play ‘Sampurna Ramayana’ (authored by Bellave Narahari Shastri) by artistes of Sri Mahalingeshwara Krupa Poshitha Nataka Mandali, 7 pm onwards.
