Sathyanarayana and Karnatak Music composers of Mysuru, 5.30 pm; KR MLA T.S. Srivatsa formally inaugurates, veena maestro Dr. R. Visweswaran presides; conferring of ‘Sahityasoori Award’ on senior scholar Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Sastry, ‘Shastrasoori Award’ on Dr. Gian Giuseppe Filippi of Italy and ‘Dr. Sathyanarayana Commemorative Award’ on Vid. H.K. Narasimhamurthy (Karnatak Violin), Vid. Madhukaram Prashanth Iyengar (Veena and Vaggeyakara) and Vid. Sringeri H.S. Nagaraj (Karnatak Music), Books on Indian Music will be released — ‘Sri Kamalamba Jayati’ by Dr. R.
